Cherie L. Paglia, City Manager
The City Manager, who is appointed
by and serves at the pleasure of the City Council, acts as the "CEO"
of the City, providing responsible management and efficient administration
of the City. The Manager provides professional leadership in executing
and administering City Council policies and coordinating City activities.
Other responsibilities include providing information and recommendations
to the Council, monitoring the City's financial condition, responding
to citizen inquiries and requests for information, assisting residents,
overseeing of City services and contracts, and supervision of other City
departments. The City Manager also serves as the liaison to other governmental
agencies and as the representative on the Technical Advisory Committee
of the Las Virgenes Malibu Council of Governments.

The City Clerks Office is the official record keeper for the City, responsible
for all City Council and Public Safety Commission agendas, minutes, ordinances,
resolutions, contracts, insurance documents, and legal publications. The
Department coordinates and conducts Municipal Elections.
The Deputy City Clerk serves as the filing officer for the Fair Political
Practices Commission Statements of Economic Interests, prepares and distributes
agenda packets, prepares proclamations and plaques, assists residents,
responds to citizen inquiries and requests for information, coordinates
the City's annual Fiesta, coordinates filming permits, and provides support
to the City Manager.

The Finance Department is responsible for administration of the City's
in-house accounting system, including accounts receivable, accounts payable,
bank accounts/statements, and preparation of the monthly financial reports
and demand register. Other responsibilities include coordination of the
annual audit and budget preparation. The Bookkeeper also serves the public
as a Notary.

The City contracts with Richards, Watson & Gershon for legal services.
The City Attorney's office is responsible for attending all City Council
meetings, providing legal advice to the City Council, City Manager and
other City staff members, preparing all legal documents, including contracts,
ordinances and resolutions, and representing the City when necessary in
relation to any litigation.

The City contracts with Charles Abbott Associates to provide all Building
and Safety, Planning, Code Enforcement, City Engineering/Public Works,
and Environmental services for Hidden Hills.

All police and fire related services are provided to the residents of
Hidden Hills by way of contract with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department
and through the Consolidated Fire Protection District of L.A. County.
